Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesB FutureB-
The Packers checked most of the boxes and earned a B.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Packers would have aced it. Jermari Harris at slot 198 is 35 spots clear of where he belonged. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Quantity was the play, for better or worse.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Will Johnson
In the Round 1 slot they get an island corner at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick54 Rnd2 Elic Ayomanor
Elic Ayomanor at the 54th pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick87 Rnd3 Donovan Jackson
Donovan Jackson in pick No. 87 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick90 Rnd3 Tre Harris
The board fumbled Tre Harris all the way to Round 3, Pick 26, and they scooped it up. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick124 Rnd4 Sai'vion Jones
A wild overpay on Sai'vion Jones in slot 124, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick159 Rnd5 Seth McLaughlin
They paid a round early for Seth McLaughlin in pick 159, more than the board wanted. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick190 Rnd6 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Nothing to complain about; Dont'e Thornton Jr. went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick198 Rnd6 Jermari Harris
Jermari Harris in the 198th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick237 Rnd7 Teddye Buchanan
They jumped the gun on Teddye Buchanan, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick250 Rnd7 Ty Hamilton
Ty Hamilton in No. 250 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The roster fit checks out.
