Draft Grade — Packers
Overall D-
ValueC+ NeedB- TradesF FutureB+
The Packers let Coleman fall and pounced. Final grade: D-.

Somebody took the Packers to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.

Reaching for Aguilar left real value on the table behind him. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.

Landing Coleman that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.

Pick Analysis
Pick28 Rnd1 Sonny Styles
Sonny Styles at Round 1, Pick 28 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the linebacker. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick52 Rnd2 Max Iheanachor
Max Iheanachor at the Round 2 slot jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick69 Rnd3 Darrell Jackson Jr.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Darrell Jackson Jr.. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick84 Rnd3 Malik Muhammad
A straight-up fair deal on Malik Muhammad at the 84th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick101 Rnd4 Jonah Coleman
Jonah Coleman at slot 101 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick107 Rnd4 Logan Jones
Logan Jones at pick No. 107 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick120 Rnd4 CJ Daniels
A reach on CJ Daniels in pick No. 120; the board had better options right there. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick140 Rnd5 DeMonte Capehart
No edge and no loss on DeMonte Capehart in the 140th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick142 Rnd5 Beau Stephens
Beau Stephens in the Round 5 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The roster fit checks out.
Pick158 Rnd5 Domani Jackson
Domani Jackson at No. 158 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick199 Rnd6 Bobby Jamison-Travis
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Bobby Jamison-Travis. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick236 Rnd7 Trey Zuhn III
They went early on Trey Zuhn III in pick 236, and the value did not follow. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick254 Rnd7 Jerry Wilson
A premium they did not need to pay, Jerry Wilson a notch or two before his time. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick257 Rnd7 Joey Aguilar
Value said wait; Joey Aguilar in slot 257 says they were not listening. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
