Draft Grade — Packers
Overall D
ValueB NeedB TradesF FutureB
Larceny in slot 59 lands the Packers a D, Hill Jr. and all.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Packers, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. A D that will need time and luck to look better.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. The cost of the Elarms-Orr reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Hill Jr. at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.

Pick Analysis
Pick40 Rnd2 Brandon Cisse
Brandon Cisse at No. 40 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick59 Rnd2 Anthony Hill Jr.
The board fumbled Anthony Hill Jr. all the way to pick No. 59, and they scooped it up. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick66 Rnd3 Lee Hunter
Lee Hunter at the 66th pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick84 Rnd3 Julian Neal
Julian Neal at pick 84 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick120 Rnd4 Logan Jones
They jumped the gun on Logan Jones, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick132 Rnd4 Isaiah World
Isaiah World at Round 4, Pick 32 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It fills a real need, too.
Pick148 Rnd5 Mike Washington Jr.
Mike Washington Jr. at the 148th pick is money in the bank, a running back taken below his worth. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick158 Rnd5 Tanner Koziol
A tidy little value on Tanner Koziol in pick 158, a step better than break-even. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick165 Rnd5 Kaleb Elarms-Orr
Kaleb Elarms-Orr in the Round 5 slot is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Pick199 Rnd6 Matt Gulbin
Steal is underselling it; Matt Gulbin at pick No. 199 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick236 Rnd7 Jeff Caldwell
The board had Jeff Caldwell higher than slot 236, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick254 Rnd7 Nick Barrett
Nick Barrett in Round 7, Pick 38 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick257 Rnd7 Cole Payton
A top-tier quarterback at a bargain, Cole Payton in the 257th overall pick, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
