The Packers worked the phones like thieves and earned a B+.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Packers did exactly that with Bryce Boettcher in the 120th pick. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

Montgomery at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The phones were where this weekend was really won. They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
