You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Packers did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high.

They will need Gulbin to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. On value alone, Sadiq makes the weekend a net positive.

Job largely done: cornerback settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
