The Packers ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Pratt at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
