No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the 49ers.

There was a run on nobody at that position, and the 49ers started one anyway for Tanner McLachlan, 54 picks ahead of schedule. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

The Simpson steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The 49ers indulged a want in Solomon while a need in interior defensive lineman and linebacker stayed open. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
