Bronco DRAFTING FOR THEBroncos

Draft Grade — Broncos

FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B for the Broncos. For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Broncos walked out of the weekend still thin at interior defensive lineman, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
On value alone, Lane makes the weekend a net positive. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Kenyon Sadiq
In pick 30 they get a mismatch in the passing game, outstanding value to boot. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick62
Rnd2
Jadarian Price
Nice patience on Jadarian Price, who had no business lasting to No. 62. The roster fit checks out.
Pick94
Rnd3
Jacob Rodriguez
They let Jacob Rodriguez come to them and pounced at the Round 3 slot. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick108
Rnd4
Ja'Kobi Lane
Ja'Kobi Lane at the 108th overall pick is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick130
Rnd4
Bud Clark
Bud Clark in Round 4, Pick 30 lands just on the right side of the ledger. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
