They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Michael Penix Jr. is the Bears' quarterback, full stop. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C-.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Landing Milton III that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Every board in the league had Haynesworth lower, and that gap is the story.

So much rides on Michael Penix Jr. that the real verdict is a season or two away.
