The board owed the Seahawks one, and it paid up: Jay Higgins, the No. 61 name on the board, sitting there at No. 173 like a gift left on the doorstep. The bottom line is a respectable B.

They will need Slackman to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
