The board owed the Patriots one, and it paid up: Jamon Dumas-Johnson, the No. 192 name on the board, sitting there at the 238th overall pick like a gift left on the doorstep. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

The Badger pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Patriots paired the rookies with proven help, Caelen Carson leading the way.
