A sensible, unshowy class lands the Cowboys a B-.

The tape said wait; the Cowboys did not. Kalil Alexander went at Round 7, Pick 1, a good 47 picks before the board was ready. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

They will answer for taking safety early while wide receiver, quarterback and other spots went begging. They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Getting Reese where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Job largely done: cornerback settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
