You could see the war room lean forward. Omar Speights at Round 7, Pick 25 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Every board in the league had Jones lower, and that gap is the story.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
