The Lions spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Jayden Maiava, the No. 46 name on the board, in pick No. 118. The bottom line is a respectable B.

Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The cost of the Zuhn III reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
