Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Bills for Robertson: B.

Call it larceny. Sawyer Robertson sat on the board until Round 7, Pick 6, and the Bills did not need to be asked twice.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They left with linebacker solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
In the Round 1 slot they get a three-down second-level presence at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick56 Rnd2 Nyck Harbor
No edge and no loss on Nyck Harbor in pick No. 56; it is a wash and a sensible one. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick64 Rnd2 A'Mauri Washington
A'Mauri Washington at Round 2, Pick 32 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick88 Rnd3 A.J. Haulcy
A.J. Haulcy is a better player than No. 88 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick123 Rnd4 Zachariah Branch
Fair-plus on Zachariah Branch, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick163 Rnd5 David Oke
A straight-up fair deal on David Oke at pick 163, value and slot in agreement. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick164 Rnd5 Jacob Rodriguez
By-the-book stuff, Jacob Rodriguez at the 164th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick165 Rnd5 Davison Igbinosun
No drama and no debate, Davison Igbinosun went about where he belonged in slot 165. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick221 Rnd7 Sawyer Robertson
The board fumbled Sawyer Robertson all the way to pick 221, and they scooped it up. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick230 Rnd7 Trey Zuhn III
They took Trey Zuhn III at par in pick No. 230, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
