Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesC+ FutureB-
The Bills won the night they stopped Emmanwori from sliding. Grade: B-.

The Bills spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Nick Emmanwori, the No. 19 name on the board, in the Round 2 slot.

A whole weekend of picks and linebacker is somehow still a want. The Williams pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Kenneth Grant
In the Round 1 slot they get a wrecking ball inside, outstanding value to boot. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick56 Rnd2 Nick Emmanwori
You do not let a safety like Nick Emmanwori reach pick 56 and blink. They did not. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick62 Rnd2 Maxwell Hairston
A premium they did not need to pay, Maxwell Hairston a notch or two before his time. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick109 Rnd4 Cam Skattebo
Cam Skattebo is a better player than slot 109 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It fills a real need, too.
Pick132 Rnd4 Aeneas Peebles
Aeneas Peebles at pick No. 132 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick149 Rnd5 Kyle Williams
A wild overpay on Kyle Williams in the 149th overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick169 Rnd5 Ajani Cornelius
No drama and no debate, Ajani Cornelius went about where he belonged in Round 5, Pick 31. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick177 Rnd6 Ryan Fitzgerald
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Ryan Fitzgerald at No. 177 is the proof. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick206 Rnd6 Alex Mastromanno
Alex Mastromanno at Round 6, Pick 30 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
