Draft Grade — Bills
Overall D-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesF FutureB-
The Bills bled value on every deal, hence the D-.

The phones were a trap the Bills kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal.

They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Every board in the league had Flournoy lower, and that gap is the story. That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and linebacker is still a hole.

Pick Analysis
Pick33 Rnd2 Jackson Powers-Johnson
They did well to land Jackson Powers-Johnson in the 33rd overall pick, just ahead of his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick39 Rnd2 Darius Robinson
Darius Robinson at the 39th pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick60 Rnd2 Ja'Lynn Polk
Ja'Lynn Polk in pick No. 60 is fair value, right on his grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick99 Rnd3 Maason Smith
A straight-up fair deal on Maason Smith at slot 99, value and slot in agreement. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick121 Rnd4 Johnny Wilson
By-the-book stuff, Johnny Wilson at Round 4, Pick 21 squarely in line with his ranking. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick128 Rnd4 Cam Hart
They let Cam Hart come to them and pounced at the Round 4 slot. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick160 Rnd5 Isaiah Davis
A clean, defensible pick in No. 160 with a little surplus value in Isaiah Davis. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick182 Rnd6 Ryan Flournoy
They paid up for Ryan Flournoy at pick 182 when waiting would have done the job. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
