Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB- TradesB- FutureB-
The Eagles kept it disciplined and banked a B-.

The Eagles torched the value chart for Marcus Yarns, taking him 102 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

The Campbell pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 Tyler Warren
In slot 32 they get a mismatch in the passing game, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick64 Rnd2 Jihaad Campbell
Jihaad Campbell in the 64th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick96 Rnd3 Ozzy Trapilo
Ozzy Trapilo is a better player than No. 96 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick134 Rnd4 Jonas Sanker
They took Jonas Sanker at par in Round 4, Pick 32, which is nothing to complain about. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick161 Rnd5 Willie Lampkin
This one needs a full-page explanation: Willie Lampkin in the Round 5 slot, miles early. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick164 Rnd5 Marcus Yarns
Marcus Yarns at pick 164 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The roster fit checks out.
Pick165 Rnd5 Isaac TeSlaa
Isaac TeSlaa in the 165th overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick168 Rnd5 Chase Lundt
Chase Lundt at Round 5, Pick 30 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
