Johnson should have been long gone. The 49ers pounced, and earned a B-.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The 49ers watched Kaleb Johnson slide 147 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

The cost of the Stone reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
