The Steelers fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B. Whoever sat across the table from the Steelers should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. The bottom line is a respectable B.
The cost of the Van Pran reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Spending an early pick on offensive lineman with interior defensive lineman and edge rusher open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.
For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. Pritchett at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
