It is the swing that defines the weekend: Jared Wiley in the Round 6 slot, a good 25 spots before the room expected him.

The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Jackson pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with wide receiver, quarterback and other spots still on the board. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Jones.

Tight end is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
