Nobody dealt better than the Bears this weekend: A-.

The Bears ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. The veteran additions, Justin Jefferson chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not. They are betting Bullock proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Trust the process, because this time the process plainly worked.
