Wilson should have been long gone. The Bears pounced, and earned a B+. The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Bears watched Johnny Wilson slide 75 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.
Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The Bears indulged a want in Williams while a need in cornerback, linebacker and other spots stayed open.
The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Tupuola-Fetui reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
