Williams is the plan now, and the Bears grade out a B-.

Start where it matters. The Bears took Caleb Williams to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
