Williams is the Bears' new face under center. Grade: D-.

The phones were a trap the Bears kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. It grades a D-, and the process earned it.

The whole projection now runs through Caleb Williams; hit there and everything else looks smarter. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Williams has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Getting Barton where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
