The Bengals bled value on every deal, hence the D.

Nobody else had Josh Proctor anywhere near No. 214. The Bengals did, by 30 spots, and that gap is the whole story. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up.

The Sinnott pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
