The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Troy Franklin, Round 2, Pick 26, roughly 32 picks past where he belonged.

If Sherman pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. The Packers indulged a want in Williams while a need in quarterback, tight end and other spots stayed open.
