The steal of the weekend belongs to the Bears and Carter: B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Bears were there to profit. Barrett Carter, the No. 85 name on the board, should have been long gone before No. 244.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
