They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Bears' quarterback, full stop.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Getting Rice where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.
