The war room fell hard for Jaylen Wright, and it showed at the 125th overall pick: 29 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The Williams pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, wide receiver and other spots still on the board. That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
