A franchise passer in McCarthy headlines a A- weekend for the Bears. The Bears spent the pick that matters most on J.J. McCarthy, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.
The phones were where this weekend was really won. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.
