Draft Grade — Rams
Overall
B
ValueB

FutureB-
The Rams robbed the room for Allar. Final grade: B. The Rams spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Drew Allar, the No. 135 name on the board, in the 167th overall pick.
They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Everette pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with running back, interior defensive lineman and other spots still on the board. Every board in the league had Sturdivant lower, and that gap is the story.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick18
Rnd1
Arvell Reese
In the 18th overall pick they get a green-dot type in the middle at a price that makes it sweeter. More want than need.
Pick29
Rnd1
Colton Hood
In slot 29 they get an island corner. Need was not the driver here.
Pick49
Rnd2
Jake Slaughter
Jake Slaughter at No. 49 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick61
Rnd2
Kamari Ramsey
You do not let a safety like Kamari Ramsey reach the Round 2 slot and blink. They did not. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick93
Rnd3
Daylen Everette
A curious use of the 93rd pick. Running back, interior defensive lineman and other spots needed the pick; a cornerback in Daylen Everette did not.
Pick167
Rnd5
Drew Allar
Taking Drew Allar in pick 167 is close to grand larceny; a quarterback that good had no business lasting this long. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick205
Rnd6
Tristan Leigh
A premium they did not need to pay, Tristan Leigh a notch or two before his time. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick208
Rnd6
J. Michael Sturdivant
They liked J. Michael Sturdivant enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 6, Pick 29. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick232
Rnd7
London Humphreys
They paid sticker price for London Humphreys in pick No. 232, and that is fine. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick250
Rnd7
Luke Hasz
They did well to land Luke Hasz in No. 250, just ahead of his grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick256
Rnd7
Denver Harris
No drama and no debate, Denver Harris went about where he belonged in slot 256. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
