Best value of the weekend goes to the Bears for Corley: B+.

The Bears ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

They banked enough surplus on Corley to cover a lot of smaller sins. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The Powers-Johnson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
