The real work happened on the phones. The Bears fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Every board in the league had Beebe lower, and that gap is the story. The Arik Armstead pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Linebacker is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
