The Bears clearly saw something nobody else did in Tanor Bortolini, taking him 66 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

So much rides on J.J. McCarthy that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
