mmowery2323 DRAFTING FOR THELions
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Lions
Overall

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Lions: B. They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Braden Fiske, 46 picks early at Round 4, Pick 30. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
The King steal is the beam this whole class leans on. With safety, linebacker and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on interior defensive lineman is the choice that costs them. Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Terrion Arnold
Terrion Arnold in pick 30 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick62
Rnd2
T'Vondre Sweat
A top-tier interior defensive lineman at a bargain, T'Vondre Sweat in the Round 2 slot, plain and simple. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick84
Rnd3
Kalen King
A cornerback of that caliber at Round 3, Pick 20 is the definition of value, full stop. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick93
Rnd3
Zak Zinter
They took Zak Zinter at par in No. 93, which is nothing to complain about. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick130
Rnd4
Braden Fiske
Hard to square with the roster. With positions of obvious need still on the board, Braden Fiske adds an interior defensive lineman and leaves safety, linebacker and other spots untouched.
Pick167
Rnd5
Ben Sinnott
Fair-plus on Ben Sinnott, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. The roster fit checks out.
Pick208
Rnd6
Nelson Ceaser
They jumped the gun on Nelson Ceaser, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick251
Rnd7
Joshua Gray
Nothing to complain about; Joshua Gray went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
