Draft Grade — Vikings
Overall C-
ValueA- NeedB+ TradesF FutureB
Gabriel should have been long gone. The Vikings pounced, and earned a C-.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Dillon Gabriel, the No. 128 name on the board, stolen at pick No. 187.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They will need Kandra to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

In the end, a coin-flip class: fine today, with a wide range of outcomes ahead.

Pick Analysis
Pick31 Rnd1 Armand Membou
In Round 1, Pick 31 they get a cornerstone up front, and a steal at that. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick95 Rnd3 Luke Kandra
Luke Kandra in the Round 3 slot is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick133 Rnd4 Denzel Burke
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Denzel Burke in No. 133, plain and simple. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick139 Rnd5 Cam Skattebo
Cam Skattebo at the 139th pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It fills a real need, too.
Pick187 Rnd6 Dillon Gabriel
Circle this one: Dillon Gabriel at pick No. 187 is a fall that decides a draft. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
