Draft Grade — Commanders
Overall
B+
ValueB+
NeedA-
TradesB
FutureB
The Commanders let Williams fall and pounced. Final grade: B+. The rest of the league will want that one back. Kyle Williams tumbling to the Commanders in the Round 6 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.
The Yarns reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The skill positions did well by the weekend.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick29
Rnd1
Matthew Golden
In the Round 1 slot they get a go-to option on the outside, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick74
Rnd3
TreVeyon Henderson
A top-tier running back at a bargain, TreVeyon Henderson in Round 3, Pick 10, plain and simple. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick128
Rnd4
Jacob Parrish
Good price on Jacob Parrish in slot 128, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick205
Rnd6
Kyle Williams
Kyle Williams at the 205th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick245
Rnd7
Marcus Yarns
Marcus Yarns at No. 245 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
