The Bears left with their quarterback, and a D- to match.

Boards are made to be trusted, and the Bears shredded theirs for Luke McCaffrey. He came off 44 spots early, and the room will hear about it. The math is unkind, and the D- follows.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. So much rides on Caleb Williams that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The Bears clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
