The Chargers let Mullings fall into their laps, and walked away with a B+.

Somebody in pick No. 218 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Chargers sat still while Kalel Mullings, the No. 113 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

They will need Sheppard to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Luke Musgrave gives the group a proven body among the projects.
