The Patriots torched the value chart for Emery Jones Jr., taking him 104 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Carter. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
