Powerful DRAFTING FOR THETexans

Draft Grade — Texans
Overall

FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Texans for Skattebo: B. When a board-topper like Cam Skattebo slides to the Round 7 slot, you do not overthink it, and the Texans did not. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
Nwankpa has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Mason Graham
In pick No. 25 they get a load in the middle at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick58
Rnd2
Tyler Booker
Tyler Booker at pick 58 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick89
Rnd3
Tyler Warren
Taking Tyler Warren in the Round 3 slot is close to grand larceny; a tight end that good had no business lasting this long. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick126
Rnd4
Andrew Mukuba
Circle this one: Andrew Mukuba at No. 126 is a fall that decides a draft. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick164
Rnd5
Xavier Nwankpa
Xavier Nwankpa at slot 164 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick241
Rnd7
Cam Skattebo
They will replay Cam Skattebo at the 241st pick for years; that is how good the value is. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
