Draft Grade — Jets
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Jets, and a B- to prove it.

The rest of the league had time to spare on Justin Eboigbe; the Jets did not wait, grabbing him 43 spots ahead at the 229th overall pick.

They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it. However the rest shakes out, White at that price is a win they earned. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick8 Rnd1 Olumuyiwa Fashanu
In pick No. 8 they get a blindside protector at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick72 Rnd3 Ja'Lynn Polk
They did well to land Ja'Lynn Polk in pick 72, just ahead of his grade. The roster fit checks out.
Pick108 Rnd4 Donovan Jackson
They jumped the gun on Donovan Jackson, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick145 Rnd5 Payton Wilson
They took Payton Wilson at par in the Round 5 slot, which is nothing to complain about. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick186 Rnd6 Ricky White
A tidy bit of business in slot 186, where Ricky White graded well above the range. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick229 Rnd7 Justin Eboigbe
They talked themselves into Justin Eboigbe at Round 7, Pick 9, and the board did not agree. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick255 Rnd7 Sam Hartman
No edge and no loss on Sam Hartman in Round 7, Pick 35; it is a wash and a sensible one. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick256 Rnd7 Ben Bywater
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 7 slot with a little surplus value in Ben Bywater. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
