Mylz DRAFTING FOR THEGiants

Draft Grade — Giants
Overall
A
ValueB

FutureA+
The Giants turned the phones into found money: A. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Giants were there to profit. Elijah Sarratt, the No. 106 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick 140.
Reaching for Moore left real value on the table behind him. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
Pick Analysis
Pick23
Rnd1
Peter Woods
In pick No. 23 they get a double-digit-sack hope, outstanding value to boot.
Pick33
Rnd2
Dillon Thieneman
They paid sticker price for Dillon Thieneman in the Round 2 slot, and that is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick65
Rnd3
Josh Moten
Josh Moten at the Round 3 slot is a conviction pick that outran the value. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick140
Rnd5
Elijah Sarratt
Elijah Sarratt at the 140th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick179
Rnd6
Jonah Coleman
A running back of that caliber at Round 6, Pick 3 is the definition of value, full stop. The roster fit checks out.
Pick187
Rnd6
Trey Moore
They talked themselves into Trey Moore at No. 187, and the board did not agree. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
