There is a lot to like until you notice edge rusher is still a hole. The Giants never got to the one that mattered most.

They will need Benny to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Getting Boerkircher where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 6 of 9 of the wish list covered. They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
