Draft Grade — Giants
Overall B
ValueB NeedB TradesB+ FutureB-
A franchise passer in Ewers headlines a B weekend for the Giants.

They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Quinn Ewers is the Giants' quarterback, full stop. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Gabriel. Johnson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 Quinn Ewers
In slot 14 they get their guy under center for the next decade at fair value.
Pick40 Rnd2 Nicholas Singleton
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Nicholas Singleton at the 40th pick is the proof. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick49 Rnd2 Cameron Williams
Cameron Williams is a better player than Round 2, Pick 17 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick71 Rnd3 Quinshon Judkins
Quinshon Judkins in the 71st overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. It fills a real need, too.
Pick107 Rnd4 Ajani Cornelius
They read the board right and Ajani Cornelius was the payoff at No. 107. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick116 Rnd4 Tez Johnson
Tez Johnson in the Round 4 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick134 Rnd4 Dillon Gabriel
A quarterback of that caliber at pick No. 134 is the definition of value, full stop. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick154 Rnd5 Joshua Gray
A quiet steal in pick 154: Joshua Gray for less than the market said. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick219 Rnd7 Ben Yurosek
Taking Ben Yurosek in the Round 7 slot is close to grand larceny; a tight end that good had no business lasting this long. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick242 Rnd7 Shilo Sanders
Shilo Sanders in pick No. 242 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
