The tape said wait; the Giants did not. Trey Moore went at slot 103, a good 168 picks before the board was ready.

However the rest shakes out, Martinez at that price is a win they earned. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. Whatever Cam Ward becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer.

They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.
