Draft Grade — Giants
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesB FutureB
The Giants found their guy under center in Daniels: B.

There is reaching, and then there is Jaylen Wright at slot 185. The Giants jumped the board by 124 and dared it to prove them wrong. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

The whole projection now runs through Jayden Daniels; hit there and everything else looks smarter. On value alone, McKinstry makes the weekend a net positive. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick11 Rnd1 Jayden Daniels
In the 11th pick they get their guy under center for the next decade at fair value.
Pick39 Rnd2 Kool-Aid McKinstry
Somehow Kool-Aid McKinstry was still sitting there in the Round 2 slot, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick42 Rnd2 Chop Robinson
A reasonable price with a little left over, Chop Robinson in slot 42. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick47 Rnd2 Tyler Guyton
No edge and no loss on Tyler Guyton in Round 2, Pick 15; it is a wash and a sensible one. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick70 Rnd3 Beau Brade
A big swing on Beau Brade at the 70th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick107 Rnd4 Cooper Beebe
Cooper Beebe at No. 107 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick128 Rnd4 Malik Washington
They reached into another round for Malik Washington, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick143 Rnd5 Jaylan Ford
Jaylan Ford at pick 143 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick185 Rnd6 Jaylen Wright
Jaylen Wright in the Round 6 slot is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
