Draft Grade — Giants
Overall F
ValueC- NeedB TradesF FutureB-
A passer of the future in Dart, and a F, for the Giants.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Giants spent pick No. 102 on Antwaun Powell-Ryland, a name most had 87 spots down the list.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Jaxson Dart is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Allar.

About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with interior defensive lineman still staring back at them.

Pick Analysis
Pick28 Rnd1 Jaxson Dart
In the 28th overall pick they get the face of the franchise, though the board says they badly overpaid.
Pick46 Rnd2 Trevor Etienne
They left a pile of value on the table to take Trevor Etienne this early at pick No. 46. The roster fit checks out.
Pick55 Rnd2 Tre Harris
A straight-up fair deal on Tre Harris at pick 55, value and slot in agreement. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick70 Rnd3 Shavon Revel Jr.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Shavon Revel Jr. at slot 70. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick102 Rnd4 Antwaun Powell-Ryland
They talked themselves into Antwaun Powell-Ryland at Round 4, Pick 6, and the board did not agree. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick108 Rnd4 Raheim Sanders
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Raheim Sanders. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick119 Rnd4 Caden Prieskorn
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Caden Prieskorn. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick134 Rnd5 Drew Allar
They barely believed it either: Drew Allar still on the board at the 134th pick. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick139 Rnd5 Jaeden Roberts
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 139 with a little surplus value in Jaeden Roberts. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick140 Rnd5 TJ Ferguson
TJ Ferguson at the 140th overall pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
