Draft Grade — Giants
Overall

FutureA+
The phones sank the Giants this weekend: B-. When the story of this class is written, it opens with Keilan Robinson at slot 183, a reach of 126 spots that the board flatly disagrees with.
The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work. Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
Rome Odunze
In pick No. 15 they get a matchup problem out wide. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick47
Rnd2
Christian Haynes
Christian Haynes at No. 47 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick84
Rnd3
Spencer Rattler
They talked themselves into Spencer Rattler at the Round 3 slot, and the board did not agree. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick107
Rnd4
Isaac Guerendo
Isaac Guerendo in pick 107 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The roster fit checks out.
Pick123
Rnd4
Beau Brade
They paid up for Beau Brade at slot 123 when waiting would have done the job. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick159
Rnd5
Jaylen Harrell
A wild overpay on Jaylen Harrell in the 159th overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick173
Rnd5
Tanner McLachlan
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Tanner McLachlan well ahead of where he belonged. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick178
Rnd6
Jordan Jefferson
They paid sticker price for Jordan Jefferson in pick No. 178, and that is fine. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick183
Rnd6
Keilan Robinson
A big swing on Keilan Robinson at pick 183, well ahead of any board in the building. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick246
Rnd7
Deantre Prince
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Deantre Prince. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick252
Rnd7
Taulia Tagovailoa
Value said wait; Taulia Tagovailoa in slot 252 says they were not listening. A need, and now a little less of one.
